Dolly reached hurricane status inside 80' West longitude and 20' North latitude sometime
Tuesday afternoon, July 22, 2008, and is expected to make landfall near Brownsville, TX. No new or increased coverage applications will
be accepted until the General Manager determines that the storm no longer threatens property within the designated catastrophe area of the Texas
Windstorm Insurance Association (T.W.I.A.). Please click on the link posted under Storm Procedures below.
If the expiring policy was written by T.W.I.A. and the renewal application is RECEIVED by
the T.W.I.A. on or before the expiration date of the existing T.W.I.A policy or if MAILED by registered or certified mail or United States Postal Service
Express Mail or by regular mail that is hand canceled by the United States Postal Service PRIOR TO the expiration of the existing T.W.I.A. policy, it will
be accepted as long as it meets underwriting criteria.

the Gulf of Mexico or is within the boundaries of 80 degrees west longitude and 20 degrees north latitude, T.W.I.A. implements its "Binding Exception" rules. Please click on the

Binding Procedures during Threat of Hurricane. If your TWIA-insured property receives windstorm damage from Hurricane Dolly, please NOTIFY YOUR INSURANCE AGENT as soon as possible. YOUR AGENT will notify Texas Windstorm, and we will have an adjuster contact you directly. Meanwhile please take reasonable steps to PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY from further damage, and KEEP GOOD RECORDS. Please do not make permanent repairs until
after the adjuster has made an inspection. Take photographs of damage, and give them to your adjuster. We may have MANY claims. Your loss is important to us, and we will handle it as
quickly as possible.

Any submissions received on or after June 5, 2006 that are not on our E-quote web applications will be returned to the agents unbound, for resubmission on the proper forms.

Insurance Association is a pool of all
property and casualty (P&C) insurance companies authorized to
write coverage in Texas.
TWIA is neither
a state organization, nor a for-profit company,
and therefore does not seek to increase its market share. We do
not actively compete against private insurance providers. TWIA is the provider
of last resort, and our internal policies reflect that fact.
