Like many of you, we at TWIA have been responding to the challenges of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 Coronavirus situation with a focus on continuing to serve our customers. A question we have received frequently in the past several days is if TWIA is going to provide any flexibility in premium payments or eligibility requirements.
Based on guidance from the Texas Department of Insurance, TWIA is actively exploring potential measures to provide relief to policyholders experiencing a financial hardship due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus crisis.
We expect to be able to share more on this subject very soon and will update agents and policyholders as soon as any such measures are approved.
