The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) is seeking feedback on changes to TWIA claim rules to implement changes from Senate Bill 615 and House Bills 1900 and 1944 (86th Texas Legislature). The rules cover supplemental payments, replacement cost payments, and the extension of policyholder and TWIA claim deadlines.
TWIA policyholders, members, and other stakeholders are encouraged to submit their comments on the proposed rules by November 12, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. to ChiefClerk@tdi.texas.gov or Office of the Chief Clerk, MC 112-2A, Texas Department of Insurance, P.O. Box 149104, Austin, Texas 78714-9104. The Insurance Commissioner will also consider written and oral comments on the proposed rules at a public hearing on October 28 at 1:00 p.m.
