Tropical Storm Beta Update, No Moratorium Planned

TWIA is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Beta. The National Hurricane Center predicts Beta will produce tropical storm conditions along the Texas coast as it makes landfall today, September 21. At this time, the Association does not plan to enact a policy moratorium on applications for new and increased coverage.

TWIA policyholders affected by Beta can file a claim using one of the methods below:

  • Visit twia.org/2020storms, for fastest service
    • TWIA policyholders and agents will need to register if using Claims Center for the first time
  • Call TWIA’s 24-hour claims care center at (800) 788-8247
  • Contact their agent
