Agent Requirements & Performance Standards

TWIA has established agent requirements and performance standards as authorized by Senate Bill 2232 and Texas Insurance Code Section 2210.016. Please read the Agent Requirements and Performance Standards document. It applies to all agents who offer or sell TWIA policies. 

What You Need to Know 
These standards reinforce and document our current guidelines and expectations for agent conduct, financial responsibilities, compliance, and legal obligations. They do not change how you do business with TWIA. However, failure to meet these standards may affect your ability to work with TWIA. 

The Agent Requirements & Performance Standards Ensure 

• Consistent understanding and expectations for all agents when doing business with TWIA. 
• Accurate policy information, reducing the risk of inadequate coverage or misrepresentation.  
• Minimization of errors and practices that could lead to disputes. 

Acknowledgment
